As you probably know a CAT Scan was taken on Thiago, he was scheduled with a fight against Jon Fitch at UFC 111 on March 27th but after his medical test revealed some irregularities on his brain, he was taken off the card. In Alves’ place is another Ultimate fighter Ben Saunders, who will face Fitch. By doing this Saunders opponent Jake Ellenderger is left alone. As for Thiago, more tests will be taken since there have been times when CAT scans are not 100% accurate, but if these tests reveal what the scans did, Thiago Alves can face the end of his outstanding career as one of the best UFC fighters in the world. In more recent news we found out that after Thiago went to a specialist to check on his brain irregularities he was told he will go in to have minor brain surgery, he is expected to be out for three weeks, but he is hoping to be back to his training in two. We wish you well Thiago!!
