Dana Jacobson is in the news today as the ESPN anchor was suspended for a week after making inappropriate comments about Notre Dame during a January 11 roast for Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic – ESPN radio personalities. Jacobson rambled on and on, all the while taking swigs of vodka from a Belvedere bottle, cursing up a storm and taking a jab at Notre Dame. Jacobson is a Michigan grad, and Golic is a former defensive lineman for ND. They have been known to exchange digs at each other regarding the rivalry between Michigan and Notre Dame.

As a biography, Dana Jacobson was born on November 5, 1971 in Michigan. She graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa in 1989 and went on to the University of Michigan, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in English and communications in 1993. Her first television gig was at WPBN in Traverse City, Michigan, where she was a fill in news anchor and weekend sports anchor. She worked for several years as the weekend sports anchor fr KXTV, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento, California from 1998-2002. She joined ESPN in December 2002.
