For Al Jefferson, February 28th was a date he’d rather not remember, but eventually he will have to face all the events that happened to him on that specific date. Why is that? Well you see Al was pulled over due to speeding (56 mph in a 40 mph zone) on February 28th at 1:08 a.m by the State Patrol. They requested a blood and field sobriety test. He was taken into arrest in the Hennepin County Jail and released at 3:19 a.m , but will have to present to court on April 23rd to deal with his fourth degree driving while impaired charge.

Al Jefferson’s Biography.

  • Born on January 4, 1985 in Monticello, Mississippi.
  • His full name is Al Ricardo Jefferson.
  • He went to Prentiss High School in Mississippi.
  • The Arkansas Razorbacks manifested their interest in Al and even gave him a scholarship.
  • He was drafted in 2004 by the Boston Celtics.
  • Due to knee injuries he didn’t do much in his 1st season with Boston.
  • In March 2007 he was awarded the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
  • In 2007 he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves where he signed a 5 year deal worth $65 M.
  • In 2008 he won the Western Conference Player of the Week.
  • In 2009 he suffered a major knee ligament injury that required surgery – that ligament was the anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL.
  • In January 2010 rumors about the Timberwolves trading Al began.
