Anja competed at the Women’s downhill where she suffered a fall and minor injuries, but came back the next day to compete at the women’s combined where she won the bronze medal, perhaps not the results she was expecting, but as she said she did the best she could do and now Anja waves and bows to the audience in Vancouver and some rumors about her possible retirement starts to run. At just 28 years old, Anja has been in more races than her body can perform, now she wants to take it slow.

"It depends on how my body and the motivation feels after this year," she said. "If I want to go one more year, you know me, I’m going to go 100 per cent. And if I’m not allowed with my body to do that, I have to stop. I have (left) everything open."

Whether she retires or not, she doesn’t want to stay away from the sport she loves so much, perhaps we will be facing another Parson coach on the way just like her dad/ coach Anders.

"They’re on me mostly everyday about being there for next year," Paerson said. "It feels good that they feel good about what I’m trying to give them and help them with things that I know for my career. But it’s still going to be my decision and when I take it either I will have a long vacation or I will go back into the gym and fight."
