Sven Kramer: Dutch Speed Skater Wins Olympic Gold Medal

Sven Kramer is the sexy Dutch speed skater who just won a gold medal at the 5000 meters competition in Vancouver.

Sven Kramer was born in Heerenveen, Netherlands on April 23, 1986. He won his first competition at the 2004 Junior All-Around Championships, then he won the silver at the European All-Around championships and third place at the World All-Around Championships. That same year he marked a new world record at the Salt Lake City World Championships.

He won the second silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy and Bronze in team pursuit. At the 2006 European All-Around in Hamar he came out in 4th place. He won the Bronze in Calgary and set a new world record. In 2007 he won the gold at the European Championships in Collalbo, two more again at the World Championships in Salt Lake City (5000M, 10000M) and broke his own world record at the World Cup in Calgary. He won another gold at the 2008 World Championships in Nagano (5000, 10000M), Gold at the 2008 World All-Around Championships in Berlin, team pursuit in Nagano and in the European All-Around Championships.

In 2009 Sven won the gold at the European Championships in Heerenveen, another three gold medals in team pursuit in the 10000m, 5000m in Vancouver and gold at the World All-Around Championships in Hamar. This year he won the gold at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver beating Shani Davis, Ivan Skobrev and Bob de Jong.
