U.S Olympic Figure Skater, Alissa Czisny is always confronting the probabilities. In 2009, the 22 year old brunette won gold at the U.S Championship and became the oldest U.S champion, Nancy Kerrigan did the same thing in 1993, with 23 years old. Find out more!

Alissa was born in Sylvania, Ohio in June 25, 1987. She has a fraternal twin sister, Amber, who was a figure skater too. Alissa (and her sis Amber) first got into skating at age 1 ½ when her mother attended skating lessons.

The Figure Skater, Alissa Czisny is a two-time U.S Collegiate Champion (2004, 2008) and loves the summer, the color purple, her iPod, learning languages, reading, biking, playing the piano, modeling and traveling around the world. In May 2009, she ended her college career with a liberal studies degree, summa cum laude, from Bowling Green State University, she also majored in French and Russian and International Studies.

After she left figure skating, Alissa Czisny has her sights sets on a modeling or acting career. She has done some modeling work and has such a beautiful smile. On acting, she had an appearance on the 2006 TLC’s Ice Diaries. But the pretty girl is not only thinking about acting and modeling, the 2009 U.S Champion also would like to pursue further her education and get a Master degree.

She has participated and helped in some benefits events such as Hurricane Katrina relief fund, “Skate for Hope” breast cancer research foundation, the Mary Louise Wright Foundation and the Jimmy Fund – Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute.

Czisny is such an amazing figure skater, she has passion and style and her spins are really fast but maybe she needs more luck. She left her long time coach Julie Berlin after she finished in 10th place at the 2010 national championship.
