Awww, a hug and a hand shake. For Kenny Perry, a Tiger Woods return to golf is something he would welcome and knows that the golf community would support Tiger as well.

As Perry was readying for the Qatar Masters in Doha, he spoke to reporters regarding the possible return of the golf great.

“I am going to tell him that if he needs to talk to me in any way I will. That’s the way I think we all should be. I am sure he’s had a lot of phone calls and a lot of people trying to get near him, but when he decides to come back I am going to approach him. The game of golf will go on with Tiger or without him because there is no man bigger than the game. But I think Tiger needs to come back. I think you know we are his family, too. So if he comes back I think he will get a lot of support from the players.”

Well isn’t that nice of Perry? I’m curious to see how much support Tiger would actually garner from other golfers. Are they really willing to embrace his return? Phil Mickelson threw in his two cents and said that no one would be able to fill his shoes, and went on to add: “The game of golf needs him to come back. It’s important for him to come back and be a part of the sport. But right now, he’s got a lot more important things going on in his life.’ Phil and his wife Amy are said to be good friends of Tiger and Elin’s.

I’m not sure how much support he would get from Jesper Parnevik, who said in December that Elin should have ‘used a driver next time instead of the 3-iron”. Ouch! Parnevik, of course, had introduced Elin (who was his Nanny at the time) to Tiger way back when. He has publicly revealed that he does regret introducing them and feels sorry for Elin.

Hey Kenny Perry, Woods will certainly thank you for your warm welcome! What do you think folks? Will the golf community as a whole welcome Tiger’s return? Leave me your thoughts! Check out some pictures and video below.
