As you know the gorgeous Karina Smirnoff is a professional ballroom dancer, but Karina’s artistic skills go beyond dancing. As a young girl in the Ukraine, Karina learned figure sating, gymnastics, ballet and piano, but it was ballroom dancing that made this young Ukrainian’s heart beat at the rhythm of the music.
So at age 12 she moved to the United States and landed in New York, where she attended Christopher Columbus High school and then Bronx High School. During this time Karina’s interest in dancing was sort of hibernated by her dream of Law School, and especially after she graduated with a degree in Information system programming and economics, but dancing was waiting for her. Dance reunited with Karina when she found by coincidence a little dancing school, and she took dancing as her priority.
Her dancing was so good that she ended up in many dancing championships in the U.S, United Kingdom, Russia and Asia. Karina subsequently appeared in the famous ABC Show Dancing with the Stars or DWTS for short. In her first appearance she danced with Save by the Bell’s Mario Lopez ( ended up in the 2nd. place), then with Billy Ray Cyrus (eliminated in the quarter finals), Floyd Mayweather jr. the boxer, With chef Rocco DiSpirito, Aaron Carter (rumors about them dating started but they denied it) and Steve Wozniak.
Karina started dating her first partner in DWTS Mario Lopez in 2006, but they broke up some time later. In 2008, Karina dated DWTS dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy and they even got engaged, but they split in 2009.
Now in 2010, we find Karina is dating St. Louis pitcher Brad Penny (Brad used to date Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano), at first they were spotted at some club in L.A last October, but they made no comments about their relationship, but just recently the were spotted again holding hands at the beach and I have to add that Karina was wearing a golden bikini and she looked absolutely fabulous!!
