Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep locked lips after they tied for Best Actress at the 15th Annual Critic’s Choice awards in Los Angeles. Was the kiss staged? Hard to believe it wasn’t these days where it seems everything is pre-written, but it did look spontaneous! Read more and see the video below.

Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep shared more than an award in what turned out to be a spotlight of the night at the first big movie awards show of 2010. On top of the surprise tie in the best actress category, the two added a kiss for the highlight reels.

Meryl was first announced as the award’s winner for her leading role in the 2009 blockbuster “Julie & Julia”. I have always been a big fan of her work, and she certainly deserved the award as she turned in another dazzling performance in J&J. After her speech, where she said:

“First, I want to thank my husband who’s golfing.”

You have to love that dry humor. And continued on to say,

“I love acting and I love to work and I love food and I love sex – so did Julia Child, so it wasn’t that much of stretch.”

She accepted the award, and then the announcer introduced the second winner, Sandra Bullock! Sandra made her way up to the stage, shouting “This is bull****!” (as a joke), but after shouting that across the mike, quickly changed moods, smiled, walked over to Streep and laid a quasi-awkward kiss on her, followed by an appropriate hug.

After the awards, Bullock said it was an honor to be considered in the same class as Meryl and that “Meryl’s a great kisser.”

Bullock, winning the award for her star role in “The Blind Side” (also a fantastic movie), has been on a hot streak in 2009 starring in “The Proposal” and “All About Steve” among other films.

People has a breakdown of the other winners on the night.
