Tiger Woods’ Vanity Fair cover has been the talk of the web today. The cover, along with other photos, were taken by famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibowitz. They were all shot prior to Woods’ admitted ‘transgressions’.

Leibowitz, who shot the cover in 2006, told Vanity Fair:

“Tiger is an intensely competitive athlete — and quite serious about his sport. I wanted to reveal that in these photos. And to show his incredible focus and dedication.”

Meanwhile, it seems that Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, received quite a nice Christmas present from her husband, or shall we say, soon to be ex-husband…apparently, according to a story put out by the tabloid News of the World, Tiger gave her a cool $300 million gift. While Elin has been spending some much needed R & R at a swanky French ski resort to ring in the New Year and also celebrate her birthday, the paparazzi have been chomping at the bit to get a glimpse of her, and it is not certain if photographs of her wearing her wedding ring or not wearing her wedding ring are in fact her. Elin does have a twin sister, Josefin, who is married and accompanied Elin on the vacay and many claim that the blonde wearing the wedding ring in the pictures are her, not Elin.

The Tiger Woods Vanity Fair February 2010 issue will be available on newsstands Wednesday in Los Angeles and New York, with a nationwide release set for next Tuesday.
