March 20, 1984 in Fuenlabrada (Madrid) Fernando Torres was born. He is  the son of Flori and Jose Torres Sanz. We must add, also, the player’s family with two older brothers: Mari Paz, with a gap of eight years, and Israel, seven years older.

Fernando Torres himself acknowledged that since he was very young, at age four, he began to emerge his interest in football. In 1989 he joined his first team: Park 84, when he was five years old. And participated in a marathon of football that was organized in the sports of Fuenlabrada, the neighborhood where he spent his childhood and much of his youth.

It began as a child as a goalkeeper but gradually he started playing as a striker. He was part of a team (Mario’s Holland) organized by a neighborhood cafe.
In 1994 playing for the first time in a football team 11 (Ray 13), for the time he was 10. The three best of the season gave them the opportunity to test with Atletico. That year, Fernando Torres scored 55 goals in the league and so was selected.

At age eleven he joined Atletico Madrid and in 1996 came to play in the kids team B. The following year began the season of the kids team A. In 1998 he played as a cadet and participated in the two editions of the Nike Cup, the national and European level.
In these championships were the best teams: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Manchester United and Juventus. With such rivals, his triumph was even more valuable.

His first contract with Atletico Madrid signed him when Fernando was just fifteen years.
In 2000 began the season playing in Division of Youth Honor and ended up playing with the first team in Division II. With only 17 years earning the U-16 European and gets the title of top scorer as well as being voted the Best Player of the Championship.

When the tournament was finished while Fernando was playing a match with the U-18 and dispute the final of the Champions Youth Cup; Futre ( Paulo Jorge dos Santos Futre is Atletico Madrid soccer director) called him to incorporate into the first team practice, and in November of that year played U-17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago. The result was not good. However, the experience helped him grow as a professional. The season started in the Second Division with the first team. In 2003 he made his debut in the U-21, one more step to get to meet one of his dreams: the Absolute. Finally, at age 19 debuted with the senior team and played with 20 Euro.

In 2007 decided to accept the proposal that offered of Liverpool, although he pointed out that it was a very difficult decision because it was not easy to move past twelve years in the Club of his heart and seven in the first team of Atletico. Before Liverpool Fernando “the kid” Torres rejected offers by prestigious teams like Chelsea, New Castle United and Real Madrid. Once with Liverpool Fernando Torres managed to live with full force the intensity of  the Champions League. Undoubtedly, 2008 was one of the best years in Fernando Torres’ life.

On September 19, 2009 Anglo publisher Harper Collins released in British bookstores an autobiographical book signed by Fernando Torres. The book, "The Child, My Story," invites the reader on a journey through the life of the player from his introduction to English football, and Fernando Torres himself admits that one of the major difficulties that he had to face the come to Merseyside was the language.

In fact Fernando tells a very funny  anecdote about it: "My English was limited to the classes that I had been at school in Fuenlabrada. You think you know a little bit to defend yourself but as you come to England very soon you realize that you have no idea. "

Fernando Torres describes himself as a very simple man and "landlord" who enjoys home life. Enjoy free time with his long time girlfriend , Olalla, and friends. 
Fernando Torres and Olalla Dominguez married on May 27, 2009 after a long courtship that began in a summer vacation in Estorde, a village near Finisterre.
On July 8, 2009 gave birth to the couple’s first child, Nora at the Hospital La Rosaleda Compostelan, in Santiago de Compostela.

Fernando Torres And his team Liverpool faced Aston Villa last week, but as the good striker he is, Fernando “The Kid” Torres score the winning point for Liverpool, putting his team just four points behind playoffs.
