Elin Nordegren’s New Year’s Eve Fun

January 2, 2010

Elin Nordegren, wife of Tiger Woods, enjoyed some much needed fun New Year’s Eve as the blonde beauty has been seen skiing in the French Alps for a post Christmas vacay. See photos plus video below.

Elin Nordegren is vacationing in France with her twin sister Josefin and friends. According to The Sun, Elin took her family and friends there to escape her husband’s philandering ways and the media frenzy that has been non-stop ever since.

A friend close to the family told the tab:

“Elin wanted to take her family and close friends away from the minefield Tiger has created by his behavior. She has been absolutely torn to pieces by what he has done to her. But she still sees a future with Tiger because of the beautiful children they have.”

Hmmm. She still sees a future with him? Really? That would certainly contradict reports of Elin hiring celebrity attorney Sorrell Trope to represent her as she seeks a divorce from her husband. He is the same attorney who is currently handling the high profile divorce of Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt from his wife, Jamie McCourt. Trope has his hands full, eh?

As far as Elin’s ski jaunt, she is also celebrating a birthday, as she turned 30 on January 1st. They are staying at the uber posh Chamonix, an $8,000 a night resort. Theirs was a seven bedroom cabin not too far from the main chalet. Onlookers reportedly said that the she was rarely seen, but she did try to get a ski run in but had to head back to the cabin due to rain.

A source revealed to US Magazine that she looked happy.

“Elin was happy, smiling, and seemed to have finally let her hair down. This trip must have done wonders for her.”

Here’s hoping Elin Nordegren finds 2010 to be a better year. New Year…new beginnings. Leave me your thoughts, plus check out some pictures and video below.
