Paul Daley is UFC Fighter (Video)

December 29, 2009

MMA fighter Paul Daley will take on Dustin Hazelett at UFC 108 on January 2, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Read more below.

Although Daley isn’t lacking in the experience department with a total of 32 MMA fights under his belt, he’s still seeking the recognition that comes with being a top-level welterweight. So far he is undefeated in the Ultimate Fighting Championship with a record of 1-0, but unless he’s been working on his ground game considerably it may not stay that way.

That’s because Hazelett specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Daley has earned a reputation for falling victim to such opponents. In fact, out of his eight losses five of them have been via submission. And that just won’t cut it in this organization of elite athletes, where well roundedness is key.

On the other hand though, Daley does have a ferocious striking game. So as long as he can stay up off the canvas, a win isn’t out of the question.

As a biography:
