Manchester United Fans Sentenced To Jail

Today, four Manchester United fans were each sentenced to more than two years in jail for the incidents with the Soccer fans from AS Roma.

They were arrested after fighting with the AS Roma fans at a bar on December 12, on that day, Manchester United played AS Roma in a Champions League match. They were arrested after throwing objects that put the other persons in danger and they were also found guilty of resisting the arrest.

Five Manchester United fans and one AS Roma fan were stabbed during incidents before the game. This kind of trouble at soccer games with Manchester United has been going and has caused two deaths in 2007. Since then Italy has been taking soccer related violence very seriously and makes a point with the decision in court today.
