After several weeks of horrific scandals, the star golfer Tiger Woods has decided to take an indefinite break from golf and public view in an attempt to save his family. Read on to know more about this story plus photos and video below.
After so many scandals that they already know since they are all over the news around the world, Tiger Woods has come to the decision to take time out from Golf. Tabloids have reported the news of this "time out" from Tiger, after his wife Elin gave him an ultimatum where it was up to him to decide between golf and her, but it seems that this story is not true and what it seems is that it was Tiger himself the one who came to this decision on his own.
Tiger Woods took the decision of the “indefinite” break from golf in the attempt to save his family, all these scandals affected his career and life but the wounds it has left on his beautiful wife Elin are tremendous, both Elin and her two little children, two year old Sam Alexis and 10 month old Charlie Axel have been through a living hell these couple of weeks after news regarding Tiger have been falling one after another non stop.
On December 11, Tiger made the statement on his website about his decision to stay away from golf for an indefinite period of time in order to put all his effort and concentration in his family, that is his main priority.
"After much soul searching, I Have Decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf," Woods said. "I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person." I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children, "Woods said. "I want to say again to everyone that I am Profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try. I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding, "the statement says." What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing. "
Like Tiger Woods, the PGA commission of the PGA Tour believes this decision is the most intelligent and appropriate in this moment.
"His priorities are where they need to be, and we will continue to respect and honor his family’s request for privacy," PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said in a statement, the tour’s first public comment since Woods mentioned his "personal failings" on Dec . 2. "We look forward to Tiger’s return to the PGA Tour when he determines the time is right for him."
We hope from the bottom of our hearts this decision will help Tiger and his family, and wish him well for them.
