The main event was originally supposed to be Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin, but due to an illness Lesnar had to pull out for the second time straight. The first time came before the two heavyweights scheduled title fight at UFC 106. Carwin explained the situation on his blog by saying that:

“Brock has mono (nucleosis) and what the UFC has told me is that I have earned the title shot but I have to wait for the title holder.”

There’s no need to fret though, because the business savvy Dana White moved another excellent fight into the former main event’s slot. Just incase Evans vs. Silva wasn’t exciting enough for you in itself the ante has been upped. If the season 10 ‘ Ultimate Fighter’ coach wins he’ll face rival coach, and arch nemesis Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson for his next fight. Who it seems quit the organization after realizing that Evans isn’t just superior as a coach, but also as a fighter.

Who do you believe would win that highly anticipated brawl? Also, will Silva ruin the chance of the grudge match happening any time soon?

The rest of the bouts on the UFC 108 Fight Card include:

Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett
Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout
