Golfer Anna Rawson has never been one to shy away from controversy. In fact, just recently in an interview she labeled the LPGA as struggling. Get the entire scoop below.
Wait a second. You mean to tell me that the Ladies Professional Golf Association is struggling? Get out of here…
Ok, we all know that women’s golf isn’t the hottest thing on the market right now, or ever for that matter. However, Anna Rawson has some terrific ideas to help bring some fresh, much deserved attention to the sport. The young golfer brought up some good points in regard to fixing the games low attendance and ratings.
For example, co-ed tournaments might bring some life to the LPGA, or how about making the game “more feminine” by having “that weeks winner accept the trophy in a stunning gown by a big designer”. These are just a couple of the ideas that she threw out there, but I think that she summed up her point best in this statement:
“We need to get creative to get fans excited about a great product. We creep into a town. Instead, we need to make noise”.
I think Anna’s ideas should be taken into serious consideration. I mean can you picture women’s golf getting as big as the PGA?
