It’s been a little over a year that Chris Evert’s divorce became final and Greg Norman’s ex-wife Laura finally agreed to the terms of their divorce in June 2007. It’s only natural that the next step in Chris and Greg’s life together is that they have become engaged. Norman popped the question on Sunday night, according to Tami Starr, director of Chris Evert Charities. She told the AP:
“They’re not sure of a wedding date yet,” Starr said. “They’re both extremely happy they’ve found each other.”
Evert was seen sporting a large rock on her ring finger at a news conference earlier today, where she announced the building of a new tennis center at Pearl Valley Golf Estates, which is the site of the South African Open where Norman is playing.
Chris had been married to Olympic skier Andy Mill for 18 years. They have three sons, Alexander is 16, Joseph is 13, and Colton is 11. Their divorce was finalized on December 4, 2006 after she paid Mill $7 million in cash and securities.
Greg married his wife Laura in 1981 and had two children, Morgan and Gregory. Norman announced in May of 2006 that he and Laura were divorcing and thus was the beginning of a nasty divorce battle between the two. They agreed in June of 2007 that they would split his $500 million fortune.
