Al Horford has been suspended without pay for committing the Flagrant Foul Penalty Two when he striked T.J. Ford on the head, Stu Jackson who is the NBA Executive Vice President announced this today. The incident occurred with 1:32 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Hawks 100-88 loss to the Raptors on Tuesday night at Philips Arena. Horford will serve his suspension Friday against the Detroit Pistons.
I think he made a rookie mistake, it was an unfortunate accident. He didn’t attempt to hurt Ford and should not have received a suspension.
