The life of tennis player Serena Williams has been pretty busy these days, after scoring 9075 points in the WTA ranking, she made it to the number 1 place. This is the fifth time she’s done it in her professional career. But her agenda keeps moving Serena all over from shooting commercials for Tampax tampons (she is actually the first athlete to do so), writing a script for a TV show, joining forces with Sister Venus and becoming part owners of the Miami Dolphins. And let’s don’t forget her shameful incident in her match against Kim Clijsters where she yelled to the Line judge “I’m going to shove this ball down your throat” when she was called after a foot fault, and gave Kim two match points.
But Now Madame Tussaud immortalized Serena in the Big Apple. Sculptors spent a couple of hours photographing and measuring Serena and trying to figure out how the statue should be dressed so Serena donated the black midriff tank top, the denim pleated skirt and her sneaker boots she used at U.S Open in 2004 for her statue. She was the latest addition of female tennis legends such as Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, and Maria Sharapova in the popular wax museum.
2009 has been a great year for Serena, immortalized next to many of the world’s biggest names. After this busy agenda we can´t just wait and see how she finished this year, she was still playing in Doha and will then participate in the Fed Cup final: hopefully she will take a break before new year’s eve, because she already announced that in 2010 she will be at the Medibank International in Sydney.
Probably we won’t see much of Busy Serena personally but we could always take a look at her at Madame Tussauds.
