With every passing day fight fans are becoming more and more excited about the treat that is in store for us next Saturday.

Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua

This light heavyweight bout should be one for the books! Expect nothing short of astonishment as two of the UFC’s most electrifying fighters go head to head. Machida, aka, “The Dragon” is coming off of a lopsided win over his last opponent/victim and one of this seasons coaches on the Spike TV show “The Ultimate Fighter,” Rashad Evans. And now that I think about it, he’s actually coming off of 13 spectacular wins with no losses. In the opposite corner we have shogun, who has won his last two matches. However, he’s also suffered from major knee problems in the past. I expect, as long as Shogun’s legs hold up, to see at least one or two rounds pass before Machida knocks him out.

There are nine other bouts listed on the UFC 104 Fight Card. Although none of them carry the same expectations as the night’s main event, there are still a few worth holding your bladder for while watching at the bar, wouldn’t you agree? They are listed as follows:

Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell
Josh Neer vs. Gleison Tibau
Joe Stevenson vs. Spencer Fisher
Anthony Johnson vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida

Preliminary Bouts:

Antoni Hardonk vs. Pat Barry
Yushin Okami vs. Chael Sonnen
Jorge Rivera vs. Rob Kimmons
Ryan Bader vs. Eric “Red” Schafer
Kyle Kingsbury vs. Razak Al-Hassan
Stefan Struve vs. Chase Gormley

Besides the main event, what bout listed on the UFC 104 fight card do you expect to be the most exciting? Share your answer with us in our comment section. You will also find pictures and a video below.
