This is undoubtedly the age of collaboration in music, and many rock stars are looking to rekindle their success with other musicians besides the ones they originally rose to stardom with. This proves to be no exception for rockers Thom Yorke and Flea.

According to an announcement made on Radiohead’s web page this morning, the newly formed band will be making their debut at LA’s Orpheum Theatre on Sunday, and then will take the stage once again on Monday. As of late, Thom, often times has been playing solo, but now that he’s surrounded by an incredibly talented group of musicians he may finally get the opportunity to bring “The Eraser” alive accompanied by a full band.

Yorke commented on the exciting news saying that:

“In the past couple of weeks I’ve been getting a band together for fun to play The Eraser stuff live and the new songs to see if it could work.”

He then went on to give further details about the show, “the set will not be very long,” he noted, but if your in the area “come and check it out”.

Other members of the so far nameless alliance of musicians include producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker, and the diverse instrumentalist Mauro Refosco.

How do you feel about Thom Yorke and Flea being in the same super group together? Is anybody out there going to be able to make it to the show? Let us know in the comment section. You will also find pictures and a video below.
