Melanie McQuaid Is A Professional Triathlete

Triathlete Melanie McQuaid just won another Xterra U.S. Championship! Find out more on McQuaid’s victory here with her career highlights to follow.





Melanie McQuaid just won the XTERRA USA Championship US Title! The event took place in the Wasatch Mountains of Ogden, Utah. Melanie made excellent time both biking and swimming. She finished the course in 2 hours and 48 minutes. This marks McQuaid’s fourth title win.





As a biography Melanie McQuaid is a British Columbia native who was born on the 17th of May. McQuaid is a graduate from the University of Victoria. She majored in BioChemistry and Chemistry.

Melanie’s love of sports and hard work has brought her many opportunities. She has been heard on sports radio as a cohost, television, public speaking, coaching other athletes and managing a cycling team.

On top of maintaining her side projects McQuaid has secured several awards, making her an all around successful athlete. She is now a four time XTerra Triathlon World Champion, Triathlete Magazine’s Off Road Triathlete of the Year and Triathlon Canada’s Female Offroad Triathlete of the Year.

Melanie is a five-time XTERRA Cup Series winner and holds seven national titles from both the US and Canada. Check out video of McQuaid below.
