CW program ‚ÄúThe Beautiful Life,‚ÄĚ which starred picture perfect beauty Mishca Barton has been canceled. Find out the reasons behind the cancellation here.
Mishca Barton first found celebrity portraying Marissa Cooper on the former hit Fox show ‚ÄúThe O.C.‚ÄĚ and recently was given a shot at revamping her television career on the fashion drama ‚ÄúThe Beautiful Life‚ÄĚ. That was until it was quickly canceled of course.
1 + 1 = 2, which is coincidentally also the number equivalent to the amount of times the show aired. After drawing in a meager 1.1 million viewers for its second episode, the program was put on the chopping block before being struck with an axe by CW network execs.
Reruns of the Melrose Place remake, which stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, are slated to fill the Wednesday evening time slot, according to Variety.
The premise of the show revolved around a supermodel (Barton) that is battling to remain on top. Executive producer Ashton Kutcher created the show pulling from his modeling experiences.
Other members of the cast included actors Corbin Blue and Elle Macpherson, whom we absolutely adore, and hope they have something bigger and better lined up.
The series, based in NYC, was deferred soon after Mischa was checked into a treatment center in LA for psychiatric evaluation. After her release from the center, she disputed the allegations claiming that she had a nervous breakdown, saying that it was all due to a wisdom tooth surgery gone wrong… Either way, we hope that the young actress is feeling better now.
