As a biography, Janell Burse Is A WNBA Player who is #33 for the Seattle Storm. Burse plays the position of center. She was born on May 19th, 1979 in New Orleans, Louisiana. A professional for the last seven years, Burse stands at 6’5″ and wears a size 12 shoe! She is a graduate from Tulane College where she excelled in basketball.
During her college years, Janell Burse was named All Conference USA First Team in both 2000 and 2001. In 1999 through 2001, Burse was also named Defensive Player of the Year. The American basketball player was recognized for her talents on the court in rebounding, blocked shots and scoring.
In 2000 Burse was named Most Valuable Player and was also part of the Conference USA All Tournament Team in 1999 and the year 2000. Since going pro, Janell, a Hungarian Cup bronze medalist, has played on the Minnesota Lynx from 2001 through 2003 until she began playing for the Seattle Storm.
Janell Burse has also played for the Dynamos, attended the FIBA Europe Cup and the Termomeccanica La Spezia. She is also a player for charity. The Louisiana native helped raise money to aid in the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina.
