We are already hearing Oscar buzz about “Invictus,” a based-on-truth film that falls in line with the recent list of Clint Eastwood’s work. The plot revolves around Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) in a post-apartheid South Africa. The newly established leader joins forces with the captain of the country’s rugby team (Matt Damon) in an attempt to bring his people together, while in the midst of chaos.

The duo will reunite for the recently announced, upcoming project “Hereafter,” of which, currently, little is known about the plot. Warner Bros. isn’t revealing anything just yet either, but they did note that the project is a supernatural thriller along the lines of “The Sixth Sense.” “Frost/Nixon” writer Peter Morgan penned the script, so hopefully unlike most M. Night Shyamalan movies its success wont ride on the shoulders of one mind-bending twist.

I thought Clint Eastwood was great in Gran Torino. A friend of mine saw Here After last night and told me it had no story but was a cool idea.
