Stephanie Gilmore Is A Professional Australian Surfer

Australian Stephanie Gilmore was awarded by Surfer Poll Awards this past Tuesday at the 37th annual SURFER Poll and Video Awards. Gilmore is a two-time world champion. Get more on her below with video.

As a biography Stephanie Gilmore is a professional Australian surfer from South Whales who was born on January 29, 1988. In the start of her career in 2005 Gilmore won the Roxy Pro Gold Coast Competition, enabling her to enter into a string of tour events.

In 2006 Gilmore’s surfing career quickly took off as she made her way to the Havaianas Beachley Classic followed by the 2007 Foster ASP Women World tournament. From there Gilmore walked away a winner of four events and the world title.

One year later she was competing in the Billabong Pro, the Monster Classic Mancora, the Roxy Pro Sunset Beach and the Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle. This year Stephanie Gilmore competed in Australia at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast.

Currently she resides in Tweed Heads, Australia.
