The much awaited fight between Randy Couture and Antonio Nogueira took place last night. Find out about the results here with video and photos of the fight after the jump.
The UFC fight between “Captain America”, Randy Couture, and Antonio Nogueira ended with scores of 30-27, 30-27 & 29-28. Antonio Nogueira was the winner of all three rounds.
After the fight Randy Couture spoke out about his loss stating:
“I did not think I succeeded the choice. I am quite rational. I believe Nogueira obviously won all 3 rounds. He banged me on my keister at least 2 of the rounds. He absolutely won the battle.”
His opponent, Antonio Nogueira, only had great things to say about the UFC Hall of Famer after the fight:
“He’s a true champion,” Nogueira stated. “He’s been champ a couple times. He’s one of my idols in the UFC.”
The UFC 102 fight against Nogueira is Couture’s second straight loss. That doesn’t seem to be holding him back though.He reportedly plans to keep on going with his career. His skill and strength are still there, it just wasn’t enough to defeat the thirty-three year old Nogueira.
