Luo Xuejuan Biography

As a biography Luo Xuejuan is a professional Chinese swimmer who was born on January 26, 1984 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Xuejuan began swimming at the age of seven and specializes in the breaststroke.

In 2000 she attended the Olympic trials. Luo managed to swim the 100 metre breaststroke in a time of 1:08.87. She also came in at a time of 2:27.29. One year later Luo was setting new records. While competing at the Chinese Nationals she swam the 100 metre breaststroke in :07.85.

Since her debut, the Professional Chinese Swimmer has competed at the 2001 World Championships, the 2001 Chinese Nationals, the World Short Course Championships, the Pan Pacific Championships, the Asian Games and the 2004 Summer Olympics.

In 2006 she reportedly skipped most of the major events after a reported conflict with her long time coach Zhgang Yadong. One year later Luo announced her plans to retire from swimming after complications with heart surgery.

Over the course of her long career, Luo obtained a handful of medals and set new records in the world of swimming.
