As the beginning of the 2009 fantasy football season approaches there are online cheat sheets that will help you make better-informed decisions on your picks. These can be especially helpful this year because of the several running backs that had terrific seasons last year.

Unlike last year when only a few of the top prospects from the ’07 season performed up to expectations, this year you might be able to get away with waiting and still acquire a good runner for a reasonable price.

Be careful how much you pay for a player, it is more important to have a well balanced team with depth then to merely have just a couple of super stars. So do not exhaust your cap space early.

For example, QB for the Buffalo Bills Trent Edwards would make a solid pick. The stars are in alignment for him to quite possibly have his best season yet. Surrounded by a great supporting cast in Terrell Owens and Lee Evans this will create opportunities for him to be aggressive through the air. Edwards may not be the most electrifying player at your auction draft, but he is a solid pick at a good value.

One of the best websites to view a fantasy football cheat sheet for 2009 is fftoolbox.com.
