Today was the day that many sports enthusiasts were waiting for, the release of the college football USA Today Coaches Poll. Learn who topped and who flopped, plus you can find video and pictures here.


Breaking News: Florida tops the USA Today preseason coaches’ Poll…and the sun also rises from the east.

Victories in two of the last three Bowl Championship Series national titles is the reason that the Gators being ranked No. 1 comes as no surprise for most of us. Florida has bragging rights to 53 first-place votes; Texas managed to squeak out four, while Oklahoma and USC earned one a piece.

The top 25 teams on the USA Today Coaches Poll looks something like this: Florida, Texas Oklahoma, Southern California, Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, LSU, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, California, Georgia, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Boise State, TCU, Utah, Florida State, North Carolina, Iowa, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Brigham Young, and Oregon State.
