X Games 15 will take place July 30 through August 2, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.
Over 200 action athletes around the world will be competing at the 15th annual Games in the following events: skateboarding, BMX, motocross and rally car racing. What is the TV schedule for the X Games? It will be televised live on ESPN and ABC, so be sure to check your local listings for the exact times, or go here to see the TV schedule as well.
Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriguez (photos below) will be competing in the skateboarding street competition. In today’s practice session, the wind kicked up a bit, proving to be troublesome for the skaters. Rodriguez said:
“[The wind] catches your board and throws it around sometimes.”
As for Sheckler, he could be seen limping after landing wrong after his jump off a flight of stairs. He shrugged off the injury, saying:
“It was my never-healing hipper (injury), so it’s no problem,” he said.
Motocross champion James Stewart will make his first X Games appearance , competing in Moto X Best Whip, Moto X Super X-Men and Supermoto.
