Sherri Steinhauer Biography

As a biography Sherri Steinhauer is a professional American golf player who was born in Madison, Wisconsin on December 27, 1962. Steinhauer is a graduate from the University of Texas Austin. She has been coached by Manuel de la Torre.

Sherri has been playing since she joined the LPGA Tour as a rookie in 1986. She has since won eight tournaments on the tour as well as the 1992 du Maurier Classic and the 2006 Women’s British Open.
Steinhauer’s other accomplishments include a win at the British Open in 1998 and 1999. She has also competed in the Solheim Cup four times since 1994.

Sherri Steinhauer is currently recovering form hip surgery but plans to return to golf in 2010.
