Karrie Webb Biography

As a biography Karrie Anne Webb is a professional Australian golfer who was born on December 21, 1974 in Ayr, Queensland.

Previous to going pro in 1994, Webb competed with the Australian Amateur Team. During her amateur days she became the Australian Stroke play Champion, made six international appearances and attended the Espirito Trophy World Amateur Golf Team Championships.

In 1994 Karrie attended the Ladies European Tour. One year later Webb won the Weetabix Women’s British Open. She was also awarded European Rookie of the Year.

Webb has since won her first LPGA tournament in 1996, 1997’s Weetabix Women’s British Open for the second time and the 2000 US Women’s Open. In 2001 she won the LPGA Championship as well as the 2002 Women’s British Open before hitting her career low in 2005.

She did however make a strong comeback in 2006 when she won the Evian Masters, the Mizuno Classic and the Kraft Nabisco Championship for the second time.
