President of the WNBA, Donna Orender, is in the news today after scoring high marks in a study conducted by the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport.
The WNBA League was identified “as the best employer overall for women and people of color in sport.”
“I was hoping for an A-plus-plus, but (an A-plus) I’ll take. We model our ideals. We have lived what we say we value. It gives all of us at the WNBA and NBA a lot of pride.”
The WNBA President was also questioned about being the next commissioner of the L.P.G.A. since Carolyn Bivens has left. Orender explained that “I’m 100 percent, 1,000 percent focused on the W.N.B.A. right now.” I guess we’ll have to wait until the end of the season to find out more!
