Talk of Steve McNair having no will leaves everyone baffled as to why the former NFL quarterback did not have one in place.
McNair’s wife, Mechelle McNair, filed an emergency petition in a Nashville court stating that there is no Steve McNair will and she wanted to oversee his estate.
Her request was granted to administer the Steve McNair Estate, to which she listed herself and their two sons, Tyler, 11, and Trenton, 6, as the heirs.
Steve has two older sons from previous relationships, Steven L. McNair Jr. and Steven O’Brian Koran McNair, both of whom live in Mississippi. Neither mother of McNair Jr. or Koran McNair have filed documents with the court. Interestingly enough, child support documents were not found in the courts of Mississippi either.
Judge Randy Kennedy has given her 60 days to provide an inventory of McNair’s assets. She has stated that she is unsure of his net worth.
Mechelle McNair’s attorney, David Callahan, said:
“I am sure that in due course there will be a discussion with everyone who has an interest in the estate. At this point, there has not been any formal discussion.”
McNair, who was shot dead by his girlfriend who then killed herself on July 4th, was laid to rest this past Sunday.
Okay readers, tell me your thoughts. Why would there not be a Steve McNair Will? I can’t imagine someone of his net worth would not have one. Now it is left for his widow to sort through all of this.

I understand that she is hurt by the way her husband died but what she must also remember is that she was once the other woman. His current wife took him from a previous relationship so what goes around comes around. But she met him with those two older boys and she should do right by his children only. She could set a trust fund up for the other two boys where no one can touch the money etc until they reach age 18. This way she doesn’t have to be concerned with the baby moma’s as this appears to be her targets. And no there was no child support orders because Steve was providing for all of his children. In the black community you only file child support when the dad is SORRY…. This is a real tragedy but GREED GREED GREED is what Michelle is looking at bless her heart and hopefully the Judge will make the right decision for those other two sons and not the their moms because I beleive the moms would not use the money correctly. Michelle you are a mother please do right by those other boys that Steve loved just like he loved your two sons. I know you are shame right now but god will bless you even more if you do the right thing.

First of all my heart goes out to Mrs.Mechelle Mcnair. Secondly it would be nice if people would stop speculating on things that they clearly don’t know anything about. Mrs. Mcnair is the wife and she is the one who should make ALL decisions about the estate.

I agree with Vickie. Mechelle has been through hell and back. The children will get what they deserve the law will see to that. However, Mrs. McNair needs to protect her interest and the children that she knows for sure are his. We can all sit in judgement one way are the other but you don’t know what your going to do until the situation arises. She is a smart woman and I’m sure she is only following the legal advice of her attornies.

To 4 and 5 all four of Steve’s children should be treated the same. Mechelle may have been through hell and back, but she knew what her husband was up to. She chose to close her eyes. I hope the kids ( that she accepted when he was alive. ) Get there due. Shame on Mechelle, My heart went out for her, but nolonger !!!!!!!

To areyoukidding? the only thing I agree with is that all boys should be treated the same. Let’s say she did know what was going on…SO WHAT?! Does that mean she deserved any of this? I would not wish any of this drama on anybody.
Secondly NO ONE knows what is going of except for Mechelle and her attorney, we should all stop speculating, this woman is still grieving, no matter what type of husband he was, he was still her husband.
