Seimone Augustus Biography

As a biography Seimone Augustus is a Professional American Basketball Player who was born on April 30, 1984 Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Augustus is currently a player in the WNBA or the Minnesota Lynx and the US National Team.

Seimone attended Louisiana State University, graduating in 2006. While there she played for the Lady Tigers. The LSU team made it to three consecutive Final Four games, each time to the semi finals. Augustus was named Naismith College Player of the Year, won the Wooden Award and took the Wade Trophy in 2005.

In 2006 Seimone was picked up by by the Minnesota Lynx in the WBNA Draft. In her first season she won the Skills Competition and was named Rookie of the Year. By 2007 played the entire season averaging 22 points per game. Currently she is out of the game after tearing her ACL this past June.
