Camilo Villegas is the Spiderman in Golf

Meet Camilo Villegas, a professional golfer from Colombia who plays on the PGA Tour and currently holds the title “Spiderman”. See his pictures and video below.

Villegas uses the “Spiderman” pose which has become his signature.

“People talk about my putting, but I need to get better in many areas,” says Villegas, who ranked no higher than 14th in any of 53 statistical Tour categories in 2007 (through Oct. 7). “This year, I worked hard to get better, and I’ll keep working hard, keep preparing. I’m not playing to finish second or 10th. I hope [winning] happens quick, but you can’t force it. I’m doing things my way, on my timetable.”

Camilo Villegas was born January 7, 1982 in Colombia. he started playing golf as a child and later earned a scholarship with University Florida, where he set numerous records including most wins (8) where he broke Chris DiMarco’s record. Here you can find more information and photos.

He won his first professional event at the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic on the Japan Golf Tour in 2007. He earned around $210,000. Camilo Villegas shot a score of 282 (-2) and defeated Toyokazu Fujishima in a playoff.
