Jessica Simpson returned to the stage recently for the first time after being blasted off for being fat, the last time she performed in Florida. This time, Jessica looked quite stunning with her toned figure, setting the stage on fire at Sea World in San Antonio.
“When it comes to media criticism, that’s just something I have had to train myself — literally train myself — to ignore,” she said.
“Because I’m the one up there on the stage, and I can feel the energy of the crowd. And I know when I did good. And I know when I did great. And there wasn’t one time on this tour when I felt like I butchered it. I mean, the way people make it sound, I should have never been singing in the first place.”
Although, she was fantastic all along… the only problems that existed were with the lyrics and her dance poses. She sang “Remember That” but forgot the lyrics in the way.
She tried to play down the gaffe with humor, telling the audience, “I always forget this,” adding “I didn’t write it.”
Meanwhile, the concert was one of the things that improved the actress’ image in the minds of people during her recovery from excessive media criticism over her falling career and rising body weight. She recently appeared on the June cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
The ‘washed up’ Simpson surely made as many heads to turn, as she used to during her Dukes Of Hazard days.
“I know that every day the media’s going to challenge me, is going to want to bring me down. But I feel like I’m at such a place that I own myself, and it’s authentic.”
