MTV VJ and TV personality LaLa Vazquez, who is engaged to Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony, was recently escorted out of a Dallas-Mavs playoff game after she became involved in a dispute with some Mavs fans sitting behind her.

LaLa Vazquez, or ‘La La’ as she is popularly known as, was ejected quickly after the incident involving some old ladies and was shot on video (check out after jump) getting hostile as she was handled by the security. The game was already marred with the controversy involving Mavs owner Mark Cuban and Nuggets star Kenyon Martin.

The interesting turn came after the incident when LaLa released a statement claiming that she was being a target of Mavericks fans’ racial comments and violent threats.

“Obviously playoff games bring out the best and the worst in fans but what happened on Monday night with the racial slurs / threats, verbal attacks on my son and physical attacks to myself by irate fans was completely unacceptable.”

“The fans were totally out of control. What the cameras captured was me defending myself and didn’t show the abuse that was taking place.”

La La is one of the judges on the panel of MTV show Charm School. She got engaged to Carmelo in December 2004 and the two have a son.

The incident was however overshadowed by the one involving Mark Cuban calling Nuggets players “thugs” and confronting Martin’s mom after the controversial game.

These drunk, ghetto chicks crack me. You know she drank a 40 and smoked a blunt before the game. I can’t wait to see her at the Western Conference finals. GIVE US MORE LA LA.
