Jeanie Buss (she can also be found as Jeannie Buss) is the daughter of Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss. She is also the girlfriend of Lakers coach Phil Jackson. See photos and a biography of Jeannie here.
Jeanie grew up in Hollywood, California and is the third of six children to Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss. Numerous sites report her age as 39. She attended the University of Southern California where she majored in business. At the young age of 19, her father Jerry put her at the helm of the Los Angeles Strings of World Team Tennis. They would go on to win two league championships. From there, she created the Forum Tennis Challenge Series and she is responsible for bringing in such top notch players as John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Chris Evert, and Martina Navratilova.
Jeanie became the owner of the Los Angeles Blades in 1993 and was named Executive of the Year by Roller Hockey International.
Jeanie has appeared in Playboy (has anyone seen these pictures?) and Sports Illustrated.
Jeanie is currently the Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. She oversees all of the business operations for the Lakers as well as the team’s broadcast partners.
