Canadian native Aaron Ward is a defenseman on the Boston Bruins. He went pro in 1993 and has played for the New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings and the Boston Bruins. Read Aaron Ward’s biography below.
As a biography Aaron Ward was born on January 17, 1973 in Windsor, Ontario. In his youth Ward played junior hockey for the Nepean Raiders. He went on to attend the University of Michigan on a scholarship.
After finishing one season Ward was then drafted to the Winnipeg Jets in 1991. From there he worked his way up and eventually made his NHL debut in 1993 for the Detroit red Wings. In 2006 he signed with the New York Rangers as a free agent. One year later he was traded to the Boston Bruins.
In Aaron Ward’s career he has managed to play over 600 NHL games and win three Stanley Cup championships. Ward has three children with his wife Kelly.
