Meet Ryan Succop, an American professional football player who is now being known as the Mr. Irrelevant, after being picked last in the 2009 NFL Draft. Succop was acquired by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 256th overall pick. See a video and a biography of Ryan Succop here.

Ryan is currently one of the four Mr. Irrelevant’s in the NFL. He is a kicker from the University of South Carolina and is certainly not worried about being picked last in the draft.

“I don’t really mind it. I don’t plan on being irrelevant,” Succop said. “I’ve been very blessed, and I plan on making an impact right away.”

Being the last pick has some positive sides also. He will be honoured in Newport Beach, California in a week.

As a biography, Ryan Succop was born on September 19, 1986, in Hickory, North Carolina so his age is 22. He attended Hickory High and was rated the fourth best kicker in the nation at that time. He was also named to the all-state team two times.

Succop went to the University of South Carolina and his record of 161 points is the tenth best in the school’s history. He was named as the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week and scored 85 points in his sophomore year.

Succop gained various SEC honours as a junior. Besides being selected for the All-SEC team, he was also named in the Ray Guy Award watch list.
