Tight end Tony Gonzalez has been traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Atlanta Falcons, thereby improving their chances of making it to the playoffs, according to various experts. Tony is the only tight end in the history of NFL to be selected for 10 Pro Bowls.

“It’s somewhat bittersweet,” Gonzalez said. “I love Kansas City. I grew up in Kansas City. The city means a lot to me. I got there when I turned 21. It will be sad to leave a city I love. But I’m looking forward to making a Super Bowl run in Atlanta every year for the next three or four years.”

Falcons will be sending a second-round pick in 2010 in return for the player.
