Meet Natalie Gulbis, the sexy golfer that will take your golfing experience of the PGA Tour to another level. See her pictures, video and biography.
Natalie Gulbis, born January 7th, 1983, in Sacramento, California. Natalie started to play golf at the early age of 4. She won her first tournament at the age of 7. When she was 10 years old, she started breaking par. In 1997, at age 14, she had become the youngest player to qualify for a Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) event. (That record was later broken by 12 year old Michelle Wie.)
The first 5 years of her professional golfing career, Natalie Gulbis did not win a tournament. She still finished sixth on the LPGA money list in 2005 with over $1 million in earnings and played on the winning United States Solheim Cup team. She placed in the top-10 in four consecutive major championships from the 2005 LPGA Championship to the 2006 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
Her first professional win came in 2007 at the Evian Masters where she defeated Jeong Jang in a playoff to claim the winner’s share of the $3,000,000 purse.
“This has been a dream for me to win an event since I was a little girl. To be able to accomplish a goal, or a dream, supersedes anything.”
Natalie Gulbis leapt into the media spotlight in 2005 as one of the most popular woman golfers in the United States and is considered to be the sex symbol of the LPGA. She distinguished herself not with victories but with swimsuit calendars and a TV show on the Golf Channel. You can visit her official website, and also see her player profile.
“I think the low moments are not when you get in the hunt and you lose. I think the lower moments are when you miss cuts, or you’re just not playing well. I think every athlete goes through that. But the closer I was getting, as long as I was in the top 10, it was great confidence and very positive for me to continue to work in the right direction.”
