$11.6 Million Awarded to Anucha Browne Sanders

It’s official. A jury ruled today that Isiah Thomas did indeed sexually harass former New York Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders and because of it she has been awarded $11.6 million in damages.

Here’s how the $11.6 million was divvied up…$6 million for working in a hostile work environment, $2.6 million for retaliation, and $3 million from Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan. The big surprise was that Isiah Thomas did not have to pay, since the jury was unclear on that issue, so the judge declared a mistrial regarding him. Pffft.

Obviously, this is a huge win for Anucha Browne Sanders. Not only for herself, but for other working women:

“What I did here, I did for every working woman in America.”

Of course, Isiah Thomas issued his own statement, saying that he was “extremely disappointed” in the ruling and that he was going to appeal the decision. Give me a break.

Do you feel that Isiah Thomas should have paid? Hell yeah he should! He was found guilty of sexual harassment, and he walks away with not having to pay a cent. C’mon. Get serious.
