Hope Solo is a hottie soccer goalie. See photos, video, and read a biography of her here.

The drama continues as hottie soccer player Hope Solo has now been booted off the U.S. women’s soccer team. Coach Greg Ryan made the decision with the support of his players. Hope was benched on Thursday from playing in the semifinal and replaced by Briana Scurry. After the game, Hope made controversial statements (video below) and many feel it was a dig against Briana and her performance.

“It was the wrong decision, and I think anybody that knows anything about the game knows that. There’s no doubt in my mind I would have made those saves. And the fact of the matter is it’s not 2004 anymore…it’s 2007, and I think you have to live in the present. And you can’t live by big names. You can’t live in the past. It doesn’t matter what somebody did in an Olympic gold medal game in the Olympics three years ago. Now is what matters, and that’s what I think.?

How do you feel about her comments? Do you believe they are warranted? Read Hope’s apology on her My Space page.

    unmadetech Says:

Fact #1: Unless Hope Solo had a prenomition and prior knowledge of how her performance vs Briana’s would eventually measure up against Brazil, she cant accurately predict the outcome if she was on net.

Fact #2: She assessed Briana’s soft hands as the cause for the loss, rather than comparing the entire two teams comprehensively. if that is the case, didnt she display a case of soft hands herself against the lowly koreans when the 2 goals scored against her went right through he hands? and mind you that was the Koreans not the Brazilians.

Fact #3: To err is human, to deny you’ve erred and claim being taken out of context when you are on video, is not only professional but makes you look nothing more than a selfish whinner as well as a defensive and arrogant liar.

Fact #4: Briana was and is one of the main reason that many of us in North America (including Solo) became hooked on WNT.
