Cosmopolitan editor Sarah Wilson thought it would be a great idea to try and set a world record for the biggest swimsuit photoshoot – so 1010 bikini clad women gathered on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia yesterday to give it a try.
“I wanted to do something that got women in an environment when they were around each others’ bodies and could feel comfortable,” said Wilson.
It had to have been a sight to see…1010 bikini babes on a beach (see photos below), forming the word “Cosmo”, with 15 lifeguards that were hired to apply sunscreen on the women where needed. Heh, bet they loved that job!
Guinness World Record adjudicator Chris Sheedy was on hand to officiate the event, who, of course, was not complaining whatsoever.
“Being paid to stand around at Bondi Beach on a beautiful day surrounded by lovely ladies is hard to beat.”
