Mark Cuban Twitter Fine of $25,000 handed down by the NBA has everyone talking! Read more about the story plus photos and video of Mark Cuban below.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was fined $25,000 by the NBA Sunday after he went on Twitter (a social network) and complained about the refs after the Mavericks/Nuggets game on Friday. He was none too happy about the non-call on J.R. Smith of the Nuggets, who taunted the Mavs’ Antoine Wright after he missed a shot in close proximity to the Denver bench.
Earlier when these two teams met, on January 13, 2009, Cuban yelled at J.R. Smith just after the first half of play when Smith apparently ‘threw an elbow’ that almost hit Antoine Wright. Cuban was also fined $25,000 for his actions. Cuban told Smith he would donate the money to Smith’s favorite charity, but when he did not hear from him, he opted instead to donate the money to the NHL Players Association Goals and Dreams Fund.
