Sania Mirza is an Indian tennis player and is quite beautiful. She is currently competing in the U.S. Open. See photos, video, and read her biography here.
As a biography, Sania Mirza was born on November 15, 1986. She was born in Mumbai, but was brought up in Hyderabad. She was coached by her father, Imran Mirza, and began playing tennis at 6 years old. She turned professional in 2003. Right now, Sania is ranked 27th currently in singles and 20th in doubles. She is the highest ranked Indian female player ever.
Sania has played among controversy. In Septmeber 2005, she was issued a fatwa, because of her “indecent dressing” on the tennis court and in advertisements. There would be much protest made about her attire, with many Muslim clerics accusing her of “corrupting influence on the youth”. You can see more of these “indecent” photos of her below.
In 2006, there were reports that Sania did not want to play with Israeli tennis player Shahar Peer because she feared there would be violent protests from the Muslim clerics and their opposing of the existence of Israel. Sania said that the reports of this were untrue and in 2007, Sania did pair up with Peer at Wimbledon, and they even made it to the third round.
